For Advocates

Housing Court Answers does regular workshops and trainings for advocates, including a Spring Training Series every year. Check out our Upcoming Events. Other organizations do regular trainings and workshops for advocates who go to Housing Court regularly. Two that offer regular trainings series are The Community Service Society and Legal Services NYC.

Training materials from the Spring Training Series of 2011 can be found on this page.

Our Information Sheets are helpful to tenants and landlords without lawyers – and can be useful for advocates just learning the ropes in Housing Court.

We have a referral guide to community groups and legal providers throughout the five boroughs.

Check our For Tenants and For Landlords pages for detailed information on Housing Court procedures and other helpful guides.

Housing Court Answers has materials from workshops, trainings and conferences that are helpful to advocates. If you can’t find what you are looking for on our website, contact us.

Use our Housing Links page to find fact sheets, legal resources, organizations that can help and thousands of other resources.

Go to Lawhelp.org/new york and use the website to find a law office to help clients. Use the “know your rights tabs” to get information sheets on a variety of housing and eviction related topics.
